How to make candle labels?
Follow our tips and make professional labels for your candles in minutes
You have already mastered the production of soy labels to perfection, but are wondering how to label them in the best way to make your products look neat, professional and unique? Fortunately, at Avery Zweckform we have a solution that is not only economical (you print exactly as many labels as you need at any given time), but also very easy and takes literally a few moments!

1. Choose the size and shape of the labels
At the very beginning, consider what size you will need the labels to look perfect on the containers you have. To do this, it's best to simply measure the height of the jar, as well as the diameter of the lid and the bottom, where you can apply round labels, which gives you an extra surface to include relevant product information.
On the front, the following labels will work perfectly: round, oval, square, rectangular, octagonal and even those in the shape of flowers.
If you can't decide on a particular shape, you can, for example, sketch them on an ordinary sheet of paper, cut them out, apply them to your candle container and decide which looks best.

2. Choose a right material
Which label material you choose depends primarily on the style of your brand and the aesthetics you want to achieve. Both paper and film labels stick well to jars even when the candle is lit.
Remember, however, to wipe the container thoroughly before applying the label so that the sticker does not come into contact with dust or oils - this will ensure that the adhesive adheres properly.
Avery Zweckform's range of labels includes: eco-friendly brown kraft style labels, white matte labels, white glossy labels, transparent labels and even colored lables.

4. Tips on how to properly apply labels to candles
Applying labels to candles may seem difficult at first, but just follow some of the tips below and the task will immediately become easier!
- Wipe and clean the candle jar/container.
- Thoroughly wash and dry your hands to avoid getting dirt on the jar. This will ensure that the glue will adhere perfectly to the surface to be taped.
- Place the jar between two attachment points to stabilize the candle as much as possible. Your attachment points don't have to be anything concrete - two objects that will hold the candle stably while you apply the label, such as two heavy books placed on a table, will suffice.
- Carefully peel the label from the sheet and align it over the candle.
- Press the center of the label against the container, then smooth the label to the outer edges with your fingers.
- If necessary, use a hard, flat object (such as a credit card, for example) to get rid of any bubbles.
- Show off your finished candle!
Remember that it is the label that often makes the first impression, and therefore contributes greatly to a consumer's desire to purchase a product. It is true that many people “shop with their eyes” and are guided by what they see on the label. If your labeling looks original and attractive, it will increase the chances that potential customers will encourage them to grab the candle in their hands and then fall in love with its fragrance!
